In an ever~changing world we have events that make it all worth while or memoriable in some form or another, this is to create a record of those events in this world as they are seen thru my eyes.

Halloween preparation

Just a few photo’s of Jillian’s handy-work. I’m pretty sure if she wakes up and forgets where she put her ‘spiderweb’ she will freak! Although it was her idea to add one of her dolls, maybe I should be the one that freaks?..enjoy

Zip-Line weekend ~ like a blur

Had the chance to hang out with some very cool people last weekend (Sept 24, 2011)

Things for the weekend started out rather slow as it was intended. I had my Friday night dialed in with the usual events which mainly consisted of chilling out with a few friends. This Friday night was a little different as I had the potential for some new company Saturday night, well not “new” but company none-the-less!

Saturday morning at noon Jillian had her Soccer game and I’m always looking forward to that. I volunteered as an official timer for her team “the EAGLES” and recently I’ve been helping the coach ~ the girls need a little help with “throw-ins, passing, and getting the ball in the net” so yeah, pretty much everything! I will say that Jill has come a long way as far as the game goes and has shown a very strong determination to improve her skills! Her team is showing improvement and we are all excited for each game!

Saturday afternoon was perfect! ~ Had lunch with Mr.John Schaal and discussed some of the upcoming snowboard season some new rules and changes, just the condition of the industry in general.  Time to meet up with the pranksters John, Shawna & Jenny at John’s place. ”Enter Miguel Sanchez…”  John started out by setting a trap of Pop-it’s on the garage floor to spook the unsuspecting J-Lowe on arrival!  5 passes, stepping over them and she didn’t step on a single one! FOILED!  OKAY~Time for some drinks and conversation, more like non-stop laughter!

"I'm SOO thirsty!!"

We’re hungry!  – off to dinner at the Fenton Hotel, yes it IS haunted!

This pretty much sums up the tone of the evening!

Miguel the Carnivore

"I'm on a Mutha F#@k!n Boat!"

We took this little dude (Miguel Sanchez) everywhere that night!~ I’ll post all of the pics later with the Captions as well… Lets just say the last photo was around 3 or 4am ?  . . .  non-stop laughter!

The following pics are from the Howell Nature Center, a 500+ ft Zip Line over a Lake (We informed Samantha and Mark our guides that it was merely a pond)

  More to come!

ITT- adjunct instructor

I have had a few goals since starting this blog back in 2006, some I’m still striving for and others have been reached effortlessly, some will be a lifelong quest, like watching Jillian grow into a beautiful woman or simply learning all I can from the world around me. One thing is for sure, I will do it all with the biggest smile I can find . . . no matter what!  For a little more detail, the goal of those lifelong quests will be to spread the “Way of life” to others always leading by example, keeping my brother’s words at the front of my mind to act as a guide.

I’m heading into the 9th week as an adjunct instructor at ITT, it has already been very rewarding! I will admit that some of my teaching style (as far as information technology) comes from one of my best friends, Chase Heath. He has always had a great way of making something extremely technical seem very real and understandable, I knew if I could explain things to others the same way he did, I would be spreading the style “knowledge with fun” making a lot of “Light bulb’s” pop up. If you ever have me as an instructor, you will know that I take the time to help everyone understand the material. I also keep it real bringing in as many outside examples as I can, fostering discussion and thought ~ and if you really know me, you also know that I keep the students laughing and interested, have you ever tried to find humor in the computer world?.. Yup, I can and I love it.

Flowers Summer gathering 2009

Straight from Aunt Ruth:

Saturday, July 11, 2009 will be the Summer Family Gathering. It is on Sanford Lake, which is a wonderful swimming lake, fishing lake and it also has a Spray Park. Very Large. I have rented the Beachside Pavillion and we can get here at 8 am if we want to or I said around 11. It is a public beach so it cost $5.00 per car and $2.00 per boat. There is a boat launch on site. It is a great lake for skiing, or tubing. The cost is $50.00 and I will pay that, if there is money left from Christmas to help cover it, if not oh well. I will get directions for everyone, as soon as necessary. We could bring a dish to pass, and whatever you want to put on the grill. We need paper products, drinks etc. As it gets closer, we can all work on that, but this is a wonderful place and it is clean, and fun. The little kids will love it and the bigger kids can swim. It isn’t real deep, there is a roped off swimming area, but nice. It isn’t a state park, no camping. Just a day park.

Please contact Aunt Ruth if necessary, I will answer questions.

Let me know. Thanks Greg.

Ruth
