FAMILY CHRISTMAS PARTY

Words from the Flowers Family Christmas Party Never have we had a year in which we have lost 3 dearly loved family members…. and it has been a difficult year for all of us.    I am hoping that a moment of reflection might help to ease our sorrow. 

Lord,
Jon, Puff and Richard are now gone from this earthly dwelling,
and have left behind this family who mourn their absence.
Grant that we may hold their memory dear,
never bitter for what we have lost
nor in regret for the past,
but always in hope of the eternal kingdom
where you will bring us together again.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.                   Amen.

Those we love must someday pass beyond our present sight…

And leave us and the world we know      without their radiant light.

But we know that like a candle

their lovely light will shine

to brighten up another place

more perfect… more divine.

And in the realm of Heaven

where they shine so warm and bright.

Our loved ones live forevermore

in God’s eternal light.

I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death.
They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make.
Their love leaves an everlasting imprint in our memories.
And we find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enrichedby having shared their love. Let us be thankful for all the special momentsthat we have had with all of themAnd Let’s share a toast and enjoy the party…because that is what all of them would want us to do.   Cheers!!
